Shokoofeh Sahar Food Industry Company

Shokoofeh Sahar Food Industries, under the brand “Sabadchin,” is a part of the Sahar Food Industries group. Given the increasing demand for beans, grains, spices, and similar products among Iranian households, as well as the critical importance of hygienic packaging to reduce waste, extend shelf life, and maintain nutritional value, Sahar Food Industries decided to establish Shokoofeh Sahar. The company was officially registered on 2014-01-22 under registration number 11290 with the Companies Registration Office in Hamedan. In its first phase, a 1,575 square meter facility was prepared for operational use.

In the first phase, Shokoofeh Sahar began its activities in 2016, focusing on packaging products such as various types of legumes, grains, spices, dried fruits, dried vegetables, condiments, sugar, and other similar items. Starting from 2017, the products manufactured by Shokoofeh Sahar were distributed by Alvand Yaran Sahar Distribution Company alongside Sahar products and were made available in markets nationwide. Currently, with the completion of capacity in this phase, a total of 150 products in various weights are being packaged and distributed, with an annual capacity of 12,000 tons.

Development

In the second phase of the project’s development, a 2,125 square meter plot of land was prepared in 2021 to increase production capacity and expand storage space, which was launched in 2023. In this phase, the annual production capacity was increased by 120% compared to the first phase, reaching 22,000 tons per year. Additionally, in line with the company’s vision, the second phase has paved the way for packaging other products such as rice, tea, snacks, and other goods. With the grace of God and the dedication of our staff, we aim to complete our product portfolio in this industry.

Due to the export ban on many types of legumes, sales of products are currently focused on meeting the demand of the domestic market. Currently, the distribution and sale of Shokoofeh Sahar products are carried out with the assistance of the distribution network of the Alvand Yaran Sahar Trading Company, with 25 active branches across the country.

Exports

Shokoofeh Sahar has been able to export products such as dried fruits, dried vegetables, grains, and spices to countries including the United Kingdom, Norway, Armenia, and Canada, relying on the expertise of its domestic workforce and utilizing the latest global technologies.

In the field of imports, Shokoofeh Sahar has focused on importing high-quality turmeric at competitive prices from India to meet its strategic raw material needs. Over the years, in addition to supplying its own packaging requirements, the company has also engaged in B2B sales of this product. Furthermore, considering the capabilities of other companies within the holding group, such as Sahar Ru in Russia, Shokoofeh Sahar imports high-quality Russian lentils to meet its B2B sales requirements. In line with mid-term planning, the import of other essential raw materials such as cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and Canadian lentils will also be prioritized in the near future.
